CoffeaElectronica

Working towards my goal of making this site more mobile-friendly, I am taking a two pronged approach:

• I am working on a lightweight mobile version of the html content such that any mobile phone should be able to view the site content.
• I have also released the first version of the CoffeaElectronica.com Android App, which provides easy access to the content from your Android phone. You can also send me an email from the app.

Android App

You can either download the app from the link below, or use the barcode scanner (search for “Barcode Scanner” in the Android Marketplace) to scan the code to the right. The barcode scanner will pull the download link from the code, click it to download the file. Once you have downloaded the .apk file, click on it to install.

Using the App

It’s pretty simple. You get a simple list of the last ten posting summaries. You can click on one to view it in the app, or you can also click the menu button to see other options. The posting view also has menu button options (contact me, or go to the actual posting on the site).

I have put the source for this app up on GitHub. On the project page you can browse the source or download an archive directly, without the need for having a Git client installed. You are welcome to post bugs and feature requests on the project page.
